SRINAGAR — The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday revised the file submission protocol for all its departments in the Union Territory.

As per the order, all files pertaining to various government departments that are not assigned to an Advisor will now be submitted to the Lieutenant Governor through the Chief Secretary.

The change modifies the earlier Government Order No. 1026-JK(GAD) of 2020 of November 2, 2020 and Government Order No. 704-JK(GAD) of 2023 of June 16, 2023.

It, however, said that the files from the Home Department relating to the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Public Safety Act (PSA) will continue to be submitted through the current channels of submission, without any changes.
