SRINAGAR — In anticipation of the upcoming Parliamentary Elections 2024, police forces in collaboration with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) conducted flag marches in several districts of Kashmir, including Ganderbal, Baramulla, Pulwama, Kulgam, Sopore, Shopian, Bandipora, and Budgam.
The flag marches were conducted to foster a sense of security and unity within the community, with the overarching aim of ensuring elections that are both free from fear and fair in their conduct.
These exercises aimed to bolster confidence among voters, assuring them of a secure and harmonious environment conducive to active participation in the democratic process without apprehension.
