Srinagar: Expressing concern over the future of their wards, parents of school children Friday appealed government to revoke their decision and conduct the examinations in Kashmir valley in November.
A delegation of parents told CNS that the decision by the government that the examinations for all classes upto graduation level would be held in March-April 2015 is a politically motivated decision which has nothing to do with the welfare and future of the students.
“They said that the Winter session of the students will get wasted in case government conducts the examinations in March-April. Our children have already completed the syllabus and we fail to understand what they will do during winters,” the parents said adding that by conducting examinations next year government is playing with the careers of the students.
“What about those students who were not hit by floods? Besides, all the National Level Competitive examinations are held in March-April, how can our wards will participate in these examinations when their results will be awaited,” they questioned. They added that authorities have not considered the merits and demerits of the decision seriously.
