Srinagar: Police on Friday arrested a youth over the charges of stone-throwing here in civil lines area of summer capital Srinagar, official sources said.
They told GNS that a youth identified as Burhan-ud-Din Wani, son of Khazir Muhammad, resident of Maisuma over stone-hurling this morning.
The youth was arrested by the cops of Maisuma police station. Since many days, the area witnessed violent clashes between youth and police following anti-government protests.
Maisuma — which houses Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front headquarters — is one of the bastions of anti-India sentiment in Kashmir.
On Thursday, police had arrested two youths from nearby Habba Kadal on the similar charges.
