GANDERBAL — Two youths from Srinagar who lost their way in the Royal Forest area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district were rescued by police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) on Friday.



The youths were identified as Mohammad Hareez and Manan Ahmad. They reportedly lost their way on Thursday while undergoing training in the forest and were unable to find their way back.



After failing to return, the two contacted the emergency helpline 112 and sought assistance.



Following the distress call, Ganderbal Police, in coordination with the SDRF, launched a search operation to trace them.



After an extensive search, both youths were located and brought to safety on Friday, bringing the operation to a successful conclusion.



According to the information provided, the two spent the night in the forest before being rescued.
