New Delhi: Mitashi, under their brand Skykidz, has developed a tablet especially for children above 2 years. The tablet, called Sky Tab 2, comes with a 'kid tough' case and bumper that's designed for children's rough handling and is priced at Rs 6,999.
The Sky TAb 2 has a 1 GHz dual core processor, 1 GB RAM, internal memory of 8 GB and expandable memory of 32 GB. It comes with a 7 inch display with 976x600 pixels resolution and weighs 850 grams. It is runs on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and has 27 preloaded apps and games for "your child for mastering skill sets and confidence building”. The tablet has dual camera, both front and rear but the exact resolution has not been revealed. Besides, it has a decent 3300 mAh battery.
The Sky Tab comes with a Parental-Control feature. You can add filters, block websites and monitor a host of other things, giving you a tool to ensure your child isn't exposed to objectionable content. It has Bluetooth and a micro USB port as well.
Announcing the launch, Adnan Chara, vice president - gaming, toys & telecom - Mitashi Edutainment, said, "Sky Tabs are a great learning resource for children nowadays, who are so comfortable with technology from a very tender age.
