Jammu, Feb 16: With a view to ease the problems of patients in hospitals, the Government has increased timing of registration by one hour in outpatient departments in all hospitals of the state.
The decision in this regard was taken at a high level meeting of Health Department held under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Health, Shabir Ahmad Khan here on Friday.
The Minister said this step was taken for convenience of the patients especially those who reach late from remote areas for treatment. He said previously the registration of patients in Causality units of the hospitals was up to 1 pm and now it has been enhanced up to 2 pm with immediate effect.
The meeting was convened to review the physical and financial status of several programmes under implementation in the division for improvement and up-gradation of healthcare facilities under NRHM and State plan.
