Srinagar, Nov 29: Government has ordered winter vacations for all Government institutions including recognized private schools upto higher secondary level falling in Kashmir Division and winter zones of Jammu Division.
Schools under Middle standard shall observe winter break with effect from 1st December, 2011 upto 29th February, 2012.
The High and Higher Secondary schools shall observe winter break with effect from 12th December, 2011 upto February, 2012.
Any default on the part of private schools in observance of the calendar of vacations shall attract action under rules.
