JAMMU — The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board has released a notification recommending 839 candidates for appointment as Junior Engineers (Civil) in the UT cadre, to be employed by the Public Works (R&B) Department.

According to a notice issued by the Public Works (R&B) Department today, selected candidates are required to promptly submit their email addresses and contact details to the establishment section of the Public Works (R&B) Department at the civil secretariats in Jammu or Srinagar. This information should be provided either in person or via email to clericalhallrnb121@gmail.com within a 21-day period.

The directive aims to facilitate the uploading of candidate information onto the Employee Verification System (EVS), following circular instructions issued by the General Administration Department under endorsement number GADMTGORBIV/9/2021-09-GAD, dated May 20, 2022.

Failure to comply with this requirement within the stipulated timeframe will result in the presumption that candidates are unwilling to accept the appointment as Junior Engineer (Civil) within the Public Works (R&B) Department. Consequently, they will forfeit their right to the appointment without further notice.

SRINAGAR — The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued an advance notice regarding the conduct of type tests for the Junior Assistant positions. The tests, as announced, are tentatively scheduled to commence from the first week of April 2024.

According to Reyaz Ahmad Malik, the Controller of Examinations for JKSSB, the exact dates for the type tests and the schedule for downloading admit cards will be communicated separately in due course.

This announcement comes as a significant development for candidates who have applied for the Junior Assistant positions under various notifications. The notice, bearing No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM/UT/10/2023-04 (7055504), was released on February 23, 2024.

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on Tuesday extended the last date of filing of online application forms for the Panchayat Secretary posts in Rural Development & Panchayati Raj department. The jobs in various cadres were advertised vide Notification No. 03 of 2022; Dated: 26-05-2022.

The last date for submission of online applications was fixed as 06-07-2022 previously and the online portal for receipt of applications from the eligible candidates was activated on 06-06-2022.

"The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board has received representations from the candidates for extension in the last date for filing of online application forms; and whereas the matter has been examined by the Board and it has been decided to extend the last date for submission of online application for the advertised vide aforementioned Advertisement Notification No. 03 of 2022; dated: 26-05-2022," the Board said.

According to the notification, the last date for submission of online applications for the posts advertised vide Advertisement Notice No. 03 of 2022; dated: 26-05-2022 shall now be July 13, 2022, instead of July 6, 2022.

SRINAGAR — The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued a Circular, asking the applicant students of Class 11th (session Annual Regular 2021) to collect the xerox copies of their answer scripts.

"It is circulated for the information of all the concerned candidates of HSP-I (Class 11th) Session Annual Regular 2021 who have applied for obtaining the Xerox copies of their Answer Scripts through online mode till date 05.04.22 shall collect the same from respective Sub/Branch offices," the Circular reads.

It further said, "In case of Srinagar based candidates, (they) shall collect the same from Divisional Secrecy,(11th Class), Bemina Srinagar."

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on Wednesday issued the schedule for supplementary document verification of the candidates for Class-IV posts under the provisions of Jammu & Kashmir appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment) Rules 2020.

The JKSSB had notified a list of candidates vide Notification No. SSB/Sel/Secy/2022/1230-31; Dated: 11-02-2022 who were to be called for document verification for filling remaining posts of Class-IV (various Departments, UT Cadre, Divisional Cadre Jammu/Kashmir and various District Cadres advertised vide Notification No. 01 of 2020; Dated: 26-06-2020.

The schedule of document verification in the second phase was notified by the Board vide Notice No. SSB/Sel/Secy/2022/1305-14; Dated: 15-02-2022 from 17-02-2022 to 28-02-2022 and called the candidates to appear before the Document Verification Committees along with the requisite documents on the scheduled dates.

The JKSSB vide Notification No. SSB/COE/2022/2075-82; Dated: 03-03-2022 called persons with disabilities for document verification from 10-03-2022 and received a number of representations on various pretexts from Class-IV candidates who could not appear before the Document Verification Committees on the scheduled dates from 17-02-2022 to 28-02-2022.

As per the Board, in view of the above, a final opportunity is given to all those candidates who were scheduled but could not appear for document verification on designated dates between 17-02-2022 to 28-02-2022 to appear for document verification along with requisite documents before the designated committees on March 11 and 12, 2022 and no further opportunity shall be granted thereafter.

The other terms and conditions for submitting requisite documents shall remain the same.

It is pertinent to mention that only such candidates are allowed to appear before the designated committees who were scheduled but could not appear for document verification on designated dates i.e, between 17-02-2022 to 28-02-2022.
