SRINAGAR — A clinic run by a quack was on Tuesday seized along with a chemist shop in southern Kashmir's Pulwama district, officials said.

Chief Medical Officer Pulwama, while speaking to the media, said that the action was taken after a video, in which a person namely Firdous Ahmad is seen prescribing medicines to patients, went viral on social media.

He said that following this, a team was constituted that visited the premises near District Hospital Pulwama and found that the clinic was being run without any registration by a quack.

“The person was also prescribing medicines to patients without having any basic qualifications. During the inspection of prescription pads by Firdous Ahmad, CCTV footage was also seized as evidence,” he said.

He added that the clinic along with the chemist shop was also seized and further enquiry into the matter has been taken up.
