PULWAMA — In an unfortunate incident in Puchal area, located in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, a woman tragically succumbed to electrocution on Thursday.

Authorities, as per reports from a local news agency, confirmed the incident, identifying the victim as Tahira Akhter, the wife of Mohammad Shafi Dar, a resident of Puchal. Reportedly, Tahira Akhter suffered an accidental electric shock, resulting in severe burns on her head.

Efforts were made to rush her for immediate medical attention, and she was promptly taken to the District Hospital in Pulwama for treatment. However, medical professionals at the hospital declared her deceased upon arrival.

In response to the tragic occurrence, local law enforcement swiftly initiated an investigation into the incident. The police have taken cognizance of the case and have begun inquiries to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal electrocution.
