PULWAMA — In a bid to extend gratitude and embrace community counsel, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arshad Bhat orchestrated a public interaction program at his residence in Dadoora village in Pulwama district, on Wednesday.
The event, as stated by Arshad Bhat himself, served as a token of appreciation to the local populace whose guidance and encouragement propelled his recent foray into politics by aligning with the BJP just three days prior, on December 24.
The BJP, on the aforementioned December date, witnessed a substantial upsurge as Arshad Bhat accompanied by his supporters, formally joined the party. The induction took place amidst the presence of Ashok Koul, the party's General Secretary (Organization) and Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, BJP National Executive Member and Chairperson of the Waqf Board, at a program held in Pulwama's Town Hall.
Arshad Bhat, an eminent social activist and the patron of the Awaam Ki Awaaz NGO, voiced his profound fortune in joining the BJP, emphasizing his eagerness to contribute to the party's developmental agenda in Kashmir.
The move marks a significant step for both Arshad Bhat and the BJP, solidifying their collective slogan of fostering development and community engagement in the region.
