SRINAGAR — A driver was killed in a road accident in Vehil area of south Kashmir's Shopian district on Friday.
An official from the local police, without naming himself, said that an accident took place in Vehil area of Shopian when a Tata Mobile and a load carrier collided with each other.
"In the incident, load carrier driver identified as Aiyaz Ahmed Wagay (30) son of Mohammad Amin Wagay, resident of Chowdrigund Shopian, got injured," he said.
He added that the injured person was shifted to District Hospital Shopian for treatment by locals where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation into this connection.
