
PULWAMA — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday claimed to have booked three militant associates under Public Safety Act (PSA) in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police spokesman in a statement issued to the news agency KNO said that Pulwama Police booked three militant associates under the Public Safety Act owing to their involvement in supporting militancy.
The trio was identified as Umer Ahmad Ganaie, son of Gh Mohd Ganaie of Sathergund Kakapora; Aftab Hussain Dar, son of Ab. Gani Dar of Avengund Rajpora and Hilal Ahmad Khan, son of Mohd Anwar Khan of Hakripora.
"They have been identified as active overground workers and facilitators of different militant organizations of LeT/TRF/JeM etc," police said, adding that they were also involved in facilitating the movement of militants, providing them transport facilities, engaging in anti-national activities that pose a threat to the region's security.
"Stringent action shall be taken against all those involved in any militant activity," police said.
