SRINAGAR — Three members of a family were found dead due to asphyxiation in a kacha house at Sandrot Balihote in Ramban district of Jammu division on Saturday, locals said.
According to the Srinagar-based news agency KDC, locals said that three members of a family identified as Chain Singh, his wife and daughter were found dead.
They said one woman (daughter) was found in an unconscious condition and is being shifted to Ramban hospital.
An unnamed police officer, quoted by the news agency KDC, said that teams of police, SDRF, and QRT are on the way to the spot and further details will be shared later and accordingly, an investigation will be initiated in this matter.
DC Ramban in a tweet informed that three members of a family were found dead due to asphyxiation in Balihote, Tehsil Ramban. "One girl was found alive and has been shifted for medical treatment. Financial assistance will be provided out of Red Cross," he said.
