SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said it busted a militant hideout and also arrested four militant associates in Hafoo Nageenpora village of Awantipora in south Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said a militant hideout was busted and destroyed in Hafoo Nageenpora forest area. The police said four militant associates of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit were also arrested.

"Police along with security forces busted and destroyed terrorist hideout in Hafoo Nageenpora forests of Awantipora. Four terrorist associates linked with the terror outfit LeT were arrested. Incriminating materials and other items were recovered. A case was registered and an investigation is in progress," a police spokesman said in a tweet.
