
SRINAGAR — Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant associates in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
"Pulwama Police along with 55RR and 182 bn CRPF busted a militant module of outfit LeT and arrested three militant associates identified as Amir Nazir Hazar son of Nazir Ahmad Hazar, resident of Wagam; Suhail Ahmad Bhat, son of Ab Rashid Bhat and Nasir Hussain, son of Bashir Ahmad Ganie," the police statement said.
It said that all three are residents of Chinar Bagh Pulwama, adding that the trio was acting as associates of militant Arif Hazar alias Rehan.
"One grenade and 13 rounds of AK-47 and other incriminating material has been recovered from their possession," the police said.
"In this regard, a case FIR No. 47/2022 under the relevant sections of law has been registeted in Police Station Pulwama," reads the statement.
