Watch: Locals clash with police after two rebels die in Pulwama gunfight

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED

• The police said that two bodies were recovered from the site, search operation still going on.
• Two AK47 rifles have also been recovered from the encounter spot. The bodies have been sent for the post-mortem.
• The police said that the operation was launched after a tip off about the presence of some rebels.
• Army's 50 RR, CRPF and SOG launched cordon-and-search operation at the Malwari village.
• While the cordon and search operation was going on, the rebels reportedly fired upon the forces and this triggered the encounter.
• Soon after the news about the encounter spread in the area, the locals took to streets and started pelting stones on police.
