Pampore Gunfight: Two to three rebels, 23 civilians trapped

Srinagar: Two to three militants are holed up in the building of Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Pampore in the city outskirts where firing was underway between them and the forces, Rising Kashmir reported.
Earlier, the militants opened fire at a bus carrying CRPF men on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway just outside the EDI building which was built in recent years.
Reports said two CRPF men got injured in the initial attack of militants.
Employees and other trainees who were present in the building at the time of attack informed over phone that most of them were shifted to hostel building nearby, however, 23 persons are still trapped in the main building, the Daily reported.
