Kashmir clashes
Srinagar: Intense clashes have started in Pamore after militants barged into the JKEDI building on Srinagar-Jammu Saturday.
Soon after the attack on a CRPF convoy, police picked up some local youth in the town which provoked the locals to come on roads near Kadlabal, sources said.
They started shouting slogans and pelting stones on police resulting in clashes.
Police used tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters.
Meanwhile, sources said that nine CRPF men were injured two of them critically in the intial attack of the militants who are still holed up in the building of Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI).
Earlier, the militants opened fire at a bus carrying CRPF men on the Srinagar-Jammu highway just outside the EDI building which was built in recent years. (RK)
