New Delhi: The J&K State celebrated its day today at Trade Fair 2015 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mr. Chander Parkash Ganga inaugurated the festival.
The main attraction of the State Day was cultural programme of all the three regions of the State performed by the artists of Academy of Art, Culture and languages. The cultural programme depicting the richness of diverse cultural ethos attracted thousands of people. The main thrust was folk music and dances of J&K. The programme proved a unique caricature of the rich cultural heritage of the State.
After the cultural programme, the Minister visited the pavilion where different stalls of J&K State have been put up. He appreciated the stall of J&K Information department whose main focus is on the developmental activities going on the State.
Thousands of people thronged the J&K Pavilion where stall holders displayed their commodities and showcased their talent and skill of indigenous art and craft of the state.
Managing Director, J&K Handloom Development Corporation, Director Handicrafts, Managing Director SIDCO and other officers of the State were also present on the occasion.
