Budgam: Minister for Revenue, Mr. Javid Mustafa Mir today reiterated that strong action against land grabbers has been initiated and Government will continue to retrieve illegally occupied land from encroachers.
The Minister was speaking during a public redressal camp organized here at the conference hall in which status of ongoing projects /schemes under various centrally/state flag ship programs in the Chadoora constituency was also reviewed.
The Minister informed that 43 Kanal of state land located in Chadoora constituency, illegally grabbed through malpractice with the connivance of some revenue officers/officials has been retrieved, and the officials involved will have to face the rule of law.
DDC Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmad, Director Rural Development Kashmir, Director Urban Local Bodies, Director Agriculture, Director Health, SSP Budgam and all other district officers were also present on the occassion.
The Minister while reviewing the progress of various ongoing works, emphasized on timely completion of the projects taken in hand. He also released Rs 1 Lakh for installation of high mast lights in Chadoora town.
Meanwhile the Minister was informed that 67 km of road length has been black topped under Chadoora R&B Division at a cost of Rs 9.79 Cr and it shall be continued further. Responding to the demands of decongestion of traffic in Chadoora town, the Minister said District administration has been asked to proceed in the matter and hopefully land for Bus stand will be made available shortly.
The Minister also stressed on strengthening of Nallah embankments and construction of retaining walls in landslide prone areas to prevent any untoward incident especially during heavy rains.
