Srinagar: The cabinet has accorded sanction to the temporary engagement of 663 persons on casual basis for watch and ward (Chowkidar) / Orderlies and Drivers for driving of vehicles in the newly created Administrative units by the Revenue Department.
The Cabinet also accorded sanction to the creation of 308 posts of different categories in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs for setting up of district level offices in all the 22 districts for implementing the State Litigation Policy. It also accorded sanction to the creation of 110 posts of different categories for functioning of 22 Dehi Adalats in the State.
The Cabinet also accorded sanction to the adjustment / absorption of substantive staff of District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) in the State Government in the Department of Rural Development.
The Cabinet approved renaming of the Soil Conservation Department as Soil and Water Conservation Department.
