Srinagar: While criticizing the policy makers of New Delhi, Chairman Hurriyat Syed Ali Geelani said that at the time of floods, they left Kashmiris to die and after the floods they are forcing people to die of starvation.
He said that the fanatic and communal rulers of India are very much satisfied with the situation in Kashmir and they want the people of Kashmir to struggle for decades for their rehabilitation and they will be forced to live a miserable life.
In a statement, Hurriyat chairman said that the heavy destruction caused in the Azad Jammu & Kashmir due to the earthquake of 8 October 2005 was compensated within a few years and it all happened because of the international aid and Pakistan government freely allowed that relief.
He said that the policy of India is contrary to that and they do not want the international aid to reach the flood affected people of Jammu & Kashmir. They are of the view that the poverty will bring down the freedom sentiments of Kashmiris and they will compromise over the Indian slavery.
Geelani however said that these people are living in the fool’s paradise and they should be knowing that this attitude of India during and after the floods have strengthened the resolve of the people of Kashmir and have vindicated our belief that India only wants land and they have nothing to do with the difficulties of the people.
