Srinagar: In order to de-congest Rambagh - Iqbal Park road stretch in Srinagar, the traffic police has issued a notice to divert passenger traffic via Tengpora route towards Batamaloo area. This diversion plan shall remain in force for 10 days.
“No passenger vehicle and sumo will be allowed to travel from Rambagh to Iqbal Park crossing,” an official statement mentioned. In this connection, to reach Batamaloo all these PSV’s shall be diverted via Tengpora route, the officials said. Further the vehicles coming from South Kashmir shall be diverted at Panthachowk towards Byepass to reach Batamaloo through Tengpora route.
According to Traffic Police, due to recent flood, Jawahar Nagar Road which is submerged and road stretch from Rambagh to Iqbal Park crossing is witnessing huge traffic load.
