Srinagar: Out of 11 aspirants, expert search committee comprising of three former vice chancellors, Prof Goverdhan Mehta, Prof A M Pathan and Prof Solanki has reportedly
shortlisted three aspirants for the post of Vice Chancellor for Kashmir University. The Search Committee had invited the eleven aspirants including six professors from outside states for an interaction. All the short listed applicants had given power point presentation at New Delhi before search committee while the Committee held closed door meeting at New Delhi and shortlisted three candidates. Sources said that the names of these three short-listed candidates has been send to Chancellor N. N. Vohra. Sources added that these three short-listed candidates include Prof S. W. A. Naqvi, Prof. Javed Naim and Prof A. M. Shah. Sources said that due to his strong credentials there is every possibility that Prof S. W. A. Naqvi will be the new VC of Kashmir University. It according to sources is expected that University will get New VC with four days. (CNS)
