New Delhi, Apr 03: While we are still hearing flak about Aakash, human resources development minister, Kapil Sibal told media that a faster advanced version of Aakash will be launched on a trial basis in May. He also added that the low cost tablet PC is currently being tested and commercial production would be taken up based on feedback from students. The new and improved specs include a better 3200 mAH battery with a 3-hour battery backup, a 700 MHz Cortex A8 processor and a capacitive touchscreen.
These new features have been worked upon to resolve the issues observed in the original Aakash, Sibal added. The first stage of 1,00,000 tablets was aimed for students of higher technical educational institutions.
