Kulgam: Protests erupted in south Kashmir's Kulgam after a woman was allegedly abducted by the army and gang raped, sources told here on Thursday. "The woman had gone to fetch water in Manzigam village when some army troopers abducted her on Monday," they said.
"Today she returned back alleging that she was picked up by the army and gang raped," they added.
Thousands of people are protesting against the alleged rape of the woman, locals said.
Despite repeated attempts officials could not be reached for comments.
