SRINAGAR — The Jammu Tawi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express is set to receive an experimental stoppage at Anantnag railway station following a directive issued by the Railway Board.

According to a Railway Board communication, train numbers 26401/26402, the Jammu Tawi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express, have been listed for a stoppage at Anantnag on an experimental basis.

The communication states that the stoppage will take effect from a date to be finalised, subject to the necessary security clearance.

The Railway Board has also directed that close monitoring be maintained at the station’s ticket counters and that the new stoppage be given wide publicity, with compliance ensured.

The proposed stop would provide passengers from Anantnag and surrounding areas with direct access to the Vande Bharat service operating between Jammu Tawi and Srinagar.
