SRINAGAR — A sledge operator went missing while two tourists were rescued after they fell into Thajwas glacier in Sonamarg area of central Kashmir's Ganderbal district.

An official quoted by the news agency Kashmir Scroll said that two tourists, who were on a Sonamarg trip, along with a sledge operator while reaching Thajwas glacier fell into it.

He said that soon after the incident, their colleagues and people present there rescued tourists identified as Sakishi Agarwal and her husband Aasaqat from Uttar Pradesh.

He said that the sledge operator is still missing and the rescue operation of the police, army, SDRF along with locals is going on.
