KUPWARA — Security forces on Monday claimed to have busted a militant hideout in northern Kashmir's Kupwara district.
An unnamed official quoted by a local news agency Kashmir Scroll said that a large cache of arms, ammunition, equipment and other war-like stores were recovered in Awra area of Kupwara district as a militant hideout was busted during the search operation.
He said that based on specific inputs, a joint search operation was launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the dense forest area of Awra, Kupwara, on Monday.
“During the search, a terrorist hideout was busted and a large cache of arms, ammunition, equipment and other war-like stores have been recovered," the official said.
