POONCH — Five soldiers were injured after militants opened fire on two security forces' vehicles in Jammu's Poonch district on Saturday.

Reliable sources quoted by a local news agency said that at least five soldiers were injured after militants opened fire on two of their vehicles, including one belonging to the Indian Air Force (IAF) in Poonch district.

They said that a unit of the Rashtriya Rifles has begun cordon and search operations in the area.

Meanwhile, the vehicles have been secured inside the air base in the general area near Shahsitar.
