SRINAGAR — A male dead body was found floating over waters in Jhelum River in central Kashmir's Srinagar district on Monday morning.
An unnamed official quoted by a local news agency said that a male dead body was sighted by some locals at Mujgund area in Shalteng Srinagar on Monday morning, who intimated the authorities about it.
Soon after intimation, a team of police reached the spot and shifted the body to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for legal medical formalities.
He said a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been initiated. The officer identified the deceased as Fayaz Ahmad Khan, son of Mohammad Shareef Khan and a resident of Khankha Mohalla Srinagar.
