SRINAGAR — Tragedy struck in the HMT area of central Kashmir's Srinagar district on Saturday when a 15-year-old girl was fatally electrocuted.
According to an official quoted by a local news agency, the minor girl, identified as Zeenat and hailing from Tangdhar, Kupwara, suffered an electric shock in HMT Srinagar.
She was swiftly transported to JVC Srinagar, where medical personnel pronounced her dead upon arrival.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, with law enforcement agencies taking cognizance of the matter.
