SRINAGAR — Santosh D. Vaidya, a senior bureaucrat, has been appointed as the Administrative Secretary of the Home Department, according to authorities on Monday.
In the order quoted by a local news agency, the authorities stated, "In the interest of administration, Sh. Santosh D. Vaidya, IAS (AGMUT:1998), Principal Secretary to the Government Finance Department shall hold the charge of Administrative Secretary of Home in addition to his own duties, till further orders."
Vaidya, an IAS officer of the 1998 batch, will undertake the responsibilities of the Home Department alongside his current duties until further directives are issued.
