SRINAGAR — A 38-year-old man lost his life in the Hajjin area of north Kashmir's Bandipora district after being struck by his cousin brother during a heated argument, according to sources.
The incident, which occurred amidst a family dispute, marks the third instance of violent confrontation within families in the region in recent weeks.
The victim, identified as Ghulam Mohiuddin Parray, sustained critical injuries during the altercation and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura after a night of hospitalization.
Reports suggest that the conflict between the two families escalated over an unresolved family matter, culminating in the fatal confrontation.
Law enforcement swiftly apprehended the accused and has initiated an investigation into the incident.
This tragedy adds to a series of unfortunate events in Kashmir, including the killing of a young individual by his brother in Sopore, the demise of an elderly man in Ganderbal, and a violent altercation between two brothers in Pattan, which left one severely injured.
