SRINAGAR — A local court in central Kashmir's Budgam district has issued an arrest warrant against a BJP leader of Minority Morcha.

In the arrest warrant, as per the news agency KDC, the Court has directed the SHO concerned to arrest the accused person namely Syed Shafat Hussain, son of Syed Mohammad Hussain Shah, a resident of Umar Abad Peerbagh Budgam in the case of 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, pending before the court.

The Court has directed the SHO concerned to arrest the accused person and produce him before the court by or before February 4, 2024, it said.

Hussain is said to be the National Secretary of Minority Morcha (BJP). When asked about the arrest warrant, Hussain said that he was "out of station".
