KULGAM — Tragedy struck in the southern region of Kashmir on Friday evening as a 16-year-old boy lost his life after being struck by a speeding motorcyclist.
According to sources familiar with the incident, an unidentified motorcycle collided with the teenage boy at Batapora Bagbal, resulting in critical injuries. Despite immediate efforts to transport him to the Sub-district Hospital DH Pora, medical personnel pronounced him dead upon arrival.
The victim was identified as Murtaza Manzoor, son of Manzoor Ahmed Shiekh of Pombay Nehama, according to official sources who confirmed the incident to a local news agency.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the tragic incident, with local law enforcement taking cognizance of the road mishap. Further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the collision are awaited as the investigation progresses.
