SRINAGAR — A Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) student passed away due to a suspected cardiac arrest in Iran.
The news agency GNS reported that an MBBS student, Mohammad Arsalan Kanjwal from Noor Bagh Sopore area of Baramulla district, who was enrolled at a Medical University in Iran passed away due to a suspected cardiac arrest. The deceased was currently in the fourth year of his medical degree.
Back home, Jammu & Kashmir Students Association, led by Nasir Khuehami, has urged the Ministry of External Affairs and Lieutenant Governor-led administration to facilitate the repatriation of the mortal remains of the deceased student.
Jammu & Kashmir Students' Association National Convenor, Nasir Khuehami said that the Association has taken up the matter with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Office of LG Manoj Sinha for early repatriation of the mortal remains to bring some solace to the bereaved family.
Expressing hope, Khuehami said, "We have been assured that the mortal remains will be brought back anytime in the next two days."
The district administration of Baramulla has also sought intervention from LG to facilitate early repatriation of the mortal remains of the student.
