SHOPIAN — A seven-day-old militant was killed in an encounter in south Kashmir's Shopian district on Thursday morning, officials said.
An official said that a local militant, who was recently recruited by the militant group TRF, was killed in an anti-militancy operation in Shopian.
The officer identified the slain militant as Maysar Ahmad Dar of Veshro. As per the official, the slain had joined the militant group a week ago.
Taking to microblogging site ‘X’, previously Twitter, Kashmir Zone Police wrote; "One terrorist affiliated with proscribed terror outfit TRF neutralised. Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition recovered."
