SRINAGAR — Police in central Kashmir's Srinagar district executed Public Safety Act (PSA) against three notorious thieves in the district on Monday.

A senior police officer said that three notorious thieves have been slapped with the PSA, including Imtiyaz Ahmad Shiekh son of Ghulam Qadir Shiekh, a resident of Alimir Khanyar; Mohammad Shameem Boya, alias Mamoon Boya, son of Mohammad Mamoon, resident of Kolkata, Ulberia, West Bengal (presently at Tengpora Bypass, Srinagar); and Mohammad Hilal Shiekh son of Mohammad Batoo Shiekh of Chardarwaza Bazbadanpora, Iman Chowk Jaipur, Rajasthan (presently at Maisuma).

The officer said all three were lodged in the central jail in Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.

"It is pertinent to mention here that all three were notorious criminals and were involved in many big robberies in parts of Kashmir," the officer added.
