SRINAGAR — Two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants were killed in an overnight gunfight in Kanjuilar area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.

Official sources told GNS that two militants associated with LeT were killed after an encounter broke out between the trapped militants and security forces in Kanjuilar area.

Meanwhile, on the behalf of IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, the Kashmir Police Zone wrote on Twitter, "One of the killed militants has been identified as Jan Mohd Lone of Shopian. Besides other militant crimes, he was involved in recent killing of Vijay Kumar, Bank Manager on 2/6/22 in Kulgam district."

It's pertinent to mention that Jammu and Kashmir's Ellaqie Dehati Bank Manager Vijay Kumar, resident of Rajasthan's Hanumangarh, was shot dead by militants at Areh Mohanpora in the Kulgam district on June 2 of this month.
