SRINAGAR — A youth from Srinagar was found dead under mysterious circumstances from an orchard in Kadgam village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday, officials said.
An official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that some locals spotted a body in a water body after which they informed the police. A police party rushed to the spot and took the body into their custody, they said.
The body was later identified as Fameed Ahmad Malla son of Abdul Hamid Malla, a resident of Burzahama area of Srinagar.
The body was later handed over to the family members after completing medico-legal formalities, the official said.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of law and have started further investigation.
