ADMISSION NOTIFICATION

For

Programmes through Distance Mode

(Session 2016)

On-line Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for admission to the below mentioned Programmes through Directorate of Distance Education, for the academic session 2016-17. The candidates are advised to peruse the Prospectus-2016/Admission Policy, available on University website thoroughly and check eligibility/other details before submitting their Application Forms:-

a)PG Programme in: Mathematics, Economics, Urdu, Commerce, English;

b)Post-graduate Diploma Programmes in: Computer Applications (PGDCA), Business Administration (PGDBA), Tourism Management (PGDTM), Home Science (PGDHS), Business Entrepreneurship (PGDBE), Cyber Law (PGDCL), Web Designing (PGDWD);

c)Diploma Programme in: Pre-Primary Teacher Teaching Programme (DPPTT);

d)Certificate Course in: Kashmiri;

I)	Important dates:
		Issuance of On-line Forms	From December 14, 2016
		Last date of submission of On-line Application Forms	December 24, 2016
II)	Mode of Selection:

The selection of a candidate for the admission to the programme shall be strictly based on the academic merit of the qualifying examinations. Admissions shall be governed by the Admission Policy and other terms & conditions as reflected in Prospectus 2016, Admission Policy and relevant Statutes on University website.

III)Submission of On-Line Application Forms:

The candidates are advised to follow the following steps for filling their On-Line Application Forms.

Step-1: Visit http://www.kashmiruniversity.net or www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in and click on Link Admissions 2016. Read Important Instructions for Registration and Submission of Form carefully before proceeding further.

Step-2: Enter Board/University Registration/Enrollment No. and Click Search (if already registered with University of Kashmir your particulars/exams. passed will appear from database automatically). Otherwise enter all details yourself.

Step-3: Select the desired Programmes and District Preference and Upload your latest passport size photograph.

Step-4: Preview the Form displayed on the screen. If details are correct, click on Submit. If there is any variation click on Previous button, make corrections and then Submit. Get a printout of the Form and note the ID for future reference.

Step-5: Deposit Application processing Fee of Rs. 300/- for each Programme, against the Bank Pay-in-Slip generated with the Application Form, in any of the branches of the J&K Bank Ltd. across the Country.

IV) Submission of downloaded Application Forms (Hard copy):

The Open Merit candidates after submitting their On-Line Application Form shall retain their hard copy with themselves for further reference, if needed.

However, the reserved category candidates after submitting the online Application Form shall submit the hard copy of their Application Forms alongwith reserved category certificate, fee receipt, Marks card in the office of the Dean Academic Affairs, University of Kashmir. The candidate shall get the Original Reserved Category Certificate alongwith them for on spot verification.

Candidates residing outside Kashmir Division including Leh, Kargil, Gurez and Tanghdar (if applied under Reserved Category) must send the printout copy of their Online submitted Application Form alongwith all documents including category certificate through Speed Post addressed to the Dean Academic Affairs,

University of Kashmir, Hazratbal-190006.

∙Number of seats for above programmes at various campuses, other details related to Admissions are reflected in Admission Policy/University Prospectus 2016 and relevant statutes, available on the University website.
