CSIR will hold the Joint CSIR-UGC Test tentatively on 19th June, 2016 for determining the eligibility of the Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in subject areas falling under the faculty of Science & Technology – Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.

CSIR-NET ASPIRANTS ATTENTION

This is for information of all the candidates appearing in the CSIR-UGC NET Examination in June 2016, that:

CSIR will hold the Joint CSIR-UGC Test tentatively on 19th June, 2016 for determining the eligibility of the Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in subject areas falling under the faculty of Science & Technology – Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences. The Schedule for On-Line Application is:

i. Start of On-Line Submission of Application Form and Fee deposit through Bank Challan:

05-02- 2016

ii. Date of close of deposit of fee (at All stations):

29-02-2016

iii. Date of close of On-Line submission of Applications (at All stations):

01-03-2016

iv. Last date of receipt of duly completed forms of on line application in Examination Unit:

07-03-2016

v. Last date of receipt of duly completed hard copy of on line application in the

 

Examination Unit (from remote areas):

14-03-2016

vi.Last date for receipt of written request for change of Examination centre only on merit basis: 06-04-2016

vii.Tentative date of publication of list of candidates registered for test on CSIR HRDG website: 09-05-2016

viii. Last date for acceptance of representation about non-registration for this test

ix. Issue of e-Admission Certificate to registered candidates:

Important Note:

a.Candidate may either apply for “JRF + Lectureship or for Lectureship (LS) only

b.M. Sc or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS with at least 55% marks for general and OBC-Non Creamy layer candidates (Central list only as provided in National Commission for Backward Classes website www.ncbc.nic.in) and 50% for SC/ST, physically and Visually Handicapped candidates.

c.Candidates enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination as on 01-03- 2016, are also eligible to apply in the above subject under the Result Awaited (RA) category on the condition that they complete the qualifying degree with requisite percentage of marks within the validity period of two years to avail the fellowship from the effective date of award.

d.Candidates may specify his/her preference in the O.M.R

e.Depending on number of fellowships available and fulfillment of laid down eligibility criteria, applications will be accepted by the CSIR

f.Candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF-NET) and Lectureship (NET) will be based on their performance in the above mentioned examination

Age Limit:

For JRF (NET): Candidates should not exceed 28years as on 1st January 2016. Upper age limit may be relaxed upto five years in case of Candidates belonging to SC/ST(NON CREAMY LAYER)/ Physically handicapped and female applicants as per Government rules

For LS (NET): No upper age limit

Note: Candidates found to have exceeded the age limit fixed for JRF (NET) will be automatically considered eligible for Lectureship (NET) only
