Admission Notification (Under Semester Scheme) for Under-Graduate 1st Semester of 2016
It is notified for information of all the concerned that the last date for completion of admission formalities for admission to 1st semester of B.A, B.Sc, B.Com (3 year General course) in the respective affiliated Colleges of the University shall be 20th February 2016.
The Principals of the respective colleges can extend the admission process to the eligible candidates beyond last date on payment of a late fee of Rs. 200/- for first count of 15 days and Rs 400/- for 2nd count of 15 days.
The candidates who have passed their 12th class examination in full shall be eligible for admission to the course. However, for Science stream, candidates having secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate in case of open merit and 40% marks in case of reserved categories (in accordance with SRO’s issued by the State Government from time to time) shall be eligible for admission.
Further, the candidates whose results are yet to be declared by JKBOSE, other Boards including re-evaluation cases etc are also advised to formalize their admission in respective Colleges on provisional basis against a non-refundable admission fee of Rs 50/-. On the following terms & conditions:-
a.That they shall produce an affidavit duly sworn in before the Judicial Magistrate to the effect that they are seeking the provisional admission at their own risk & responsibility. In case they fail to fulfill the eligibility requirements by reference to their result status their admission shall automatically stand cancelled.
b.That they shall regularize their admission (if eligible) within 10 days from the date of declaration of re-evaluation/withheld results.
The Principals of affiliated Colleges may forward the error free course wise Registration Return alongwith prescribed fee and softcopy of Registration Return in CD within 40 days after the last date, in case the number of candidates is less than 200 and within a maximum of 60 days, if it is more than 200 candidates. A late fee of Rs. 20/- per student shall be charged for late submission of Registration Return upto 15 days. Thereafter no Registration Return shall be entertained.
However, the RR of the candidate who sought admission on provisional basis & regularized their admission shall be forwarded within 7 days after the last date. In case the Registration return is not received within stipulated period a late fee of Rs 20/- upto maximum of 15 days shall be charged from the College.
The Registration Return should be supported with the following documents of the candidates:
i.Original Higher Secondary School Leaving certificate;
ii.Self attested photocopy of Secondary School Examination (10th Class);
iii.Self attested photocopy of Higher Secondary School Examination Part II (12th Class);
The eligibility of the pass out candidates of 12th class other than J&K Board of School Education, shall be determined subject to the submission of Original Migration certificate(s) from respective institutions and equivalence certificate of 12th class from J&K Board of School Education. The College Principals shall accordingly check the status of the Board(s) prior to their admission to the course in the respective colleges.
The Principals shall ensure that admission/classification is made strictly
in accordance
with the revised combination of subjects, available on University
website at
www.kashmiruniversity.net.
Note:- No admission shall be granted over & above the terms conditions as laid down in this Notification.
