Pulwama: Amid massive protests and clashes, Omais Ahmad was laid to rest in Chatapora area of Pulwama on Friday.
Ahmad died in a brief gunfight with police and army in Ajas area of Bandipora last evening, police said.
Amid clashes, which erupted early today after youth defied curfew in Pulwama town, Ahmad was laid to rest at Shaheed Park in Pulwama today afternoon.
At least ten youth had to be admitted at a hospital after they suffered injuries during the clashes with forces.
The clashes were going on in the town with youth hurling rocks at forces who were responding with firing pellet guns and lobbing tear smoke shells.
