Srinagar: Security forces busted a militant hideout in a forest area in north Kashmir's Kupwara district today and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, police said.
Acting on a specific information, police and Army launched a joint search operation in a forest area in Lolab and busted a militant hideout, a police spokesman said.
At the hideout, a huge cache of arms and ammunitions including one AK 56 rifle, five AK Magazines, 1,000 AK rounds, one UBGL, two UBGL grenades, four pistols, four pistol magazines, 32 pistol rounds and 21 grenades were recovered.
Police has registered a case, the spokesman said, adding that investigations were on.
