Srinagar: While stressing over the priority basis assistance to the flood affected non-Muslim brothers, Chairman Hurriyat Syed Ali Geelani said: “Pandits, Sikhs, Buddhists and Christians of the state are our brothers and it is our religious duty to take care of them in this hour of grief.”
Geelani said that the commendable rescue work of our youth who put aside all the differences and without any priority helped all the people trapped in flood waters, have added a new life to our centuries old tradition of brotherhood and hospitality and it also exposed the false propaganda of the India policy makers and Indian Media about the Kashmiris.
Today a meeting of Central Relief Committee was held at Hyderpora which was presided over by Geelani sahib. The pro-freedom leader said that Jammu & Kashmir is although a Muslim majority state so, they are like trust deposit with us and it is our duty to take care of them. He instructed his activists to make a separate list of all the flood affected non-Muslim people of the state and help them on priority bases. There should not be any kind of negligence in this work because it would be against the soul and spirit of Islam.
