Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday said that 81 percent electricity supply has been restored in Kashmir Valley and work is on to restore the rest.
"81 percent electricity has been restored in the Valley and work is on to restore the entire supply", Principal Secretary Power Development Department (PDD), AK Mehta, said.
Power across Kashmir Valley has been restored to a large extent and out of the 229 receiving stations, 212 have been restored, Mehta said.
He said out of the 22,703 distribution transformers, 18,500 are functioning normally and remaining are being restored.
Mehta said in Srinagar 75 percent, Shopian 90 percent, Pulwama 85 percent, Anantnag 90 percent, Kulgam 90 percent, Bandipore 85 percent, Ganderbal 95 percent, Baramulla 95 percent, Kupwara 95 percent and Budgam 95 percent electricity have been restored.
